About the Speakers
Bethany Bloom, a Minneapolis, MN native, earned her undergraduate degree in Human Resources from St. Cloud State University before pursuing her Juris Doctorate at the University of South Dakota School of Law, graduating in 2016. Following law school, she channeled her passion for human resources into the healthcare industry and human services industry, ultimately serving as the Human Resources Director at West River Mental Health for the past four years. A mother of three young children, Bethany is deeply committed to her community. She actively engages in nonprofit work, serves on various boards, and embraces volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful impact.
Colleen is from Rapid City and loves the sense of community that the Black Hills provide. She is a Central High School graduate and received her Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Sociology from South Dakota State University. She is currently the Human Resources Director at Rapid City Medical Center, LLP, where she is responsible for personnel employment functions such as recruitment, employee relations, benefits initiatives, and compliance with employment law. Colleen is the mother of two boys, and her greatest joy is watching them grow.
